In recent years, China-Africa audio-visual cooperation has continuously focused on youth content co-creation. African students studying in China and African hosts are deeply involved in program production, using immersive youth perspectives to build a two-way cultural understanding bridge, making cross-cultural communication more precise and heartfelt.

A number of youth co-created quality programs have become shining beacons of China-Africa cultural exchanges. Programs like "Authentic Beijing Taste" feature African youth as cultural experience officers, interpreting traditional Chinese festivals, folk culture, and urban life through personal experiences, telling the real, three-dimensional, and vivid stories of China from an international perspective.

2026 marks the "China-Africa Human Civilization Exchange Year." The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and Television, in conjunction with the 6th Future Audio-Visual Innovation Competition, established a special track titled "China-Africa Vision of Civilizational Mutual Learning." The competition employs youthful audio-visual forms such as short videos, micro-documentaries, and animations to build a communication platform for China-Africa youth. As of July 15, the collected content and authors spanned 23 African countries, including China, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Egypt, and Kenya. The shortlisted works covered a variety of themes and perspectives.

According to reports, responding to the coordinated development needs of China-Africa audio-visual industries, China has actively established regular youth training and exchange platforms, focusing on cutting-edge fields like ultra-high-definition shooting, AI film production, and intelligent collection and editing to enhance the professional skills of African youth media practitioners, cultivating backbone forces for China-Africa audio-visual cooperation.

Leveraging national-level external communication brand matrices, coupled with international communication advantages, a series of significant audio-visual and cultural exchanges continue to be implemented, precisely empowering China-Africa youth interactions and deepening people-to-people connections.

The "China Joint Pavilion" of the Africa Television Festival has landed on Africa's mainstream industry platforms, providing professional display channels for China-Africa youth film and television creators. In the "Audio-Visual China: Exploring Ethiopia" event, Xiaohongshu blogger @Timothy Kiwalabye, as a representative of African creators, shared his entrepreneurial story. Through Xiaohongshu, he learned about菌草 technology, returned to Uganda to establish a菌草 garden, helping local farmers increase sustainable production and open up new income sources.

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and Television has implemented the "China-Africa Audio-Visual Innovation Cooperation Plan" in depth, opening an Africa network audio-visual专栏 that has reached 220 million people, promoting iQIYI to launch the China-Northwest Africa Station, becoming the first localized operation hub for Chinese long-video platforms in the Northwest Africa region.

The Love Beijing Audio-Visual Arts International Communication Action, as a landmark cultural brand activity organized by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and Television, has visited many African countries multiple times. Through audio-visual exhibitions, cultural interactions, and youth dialogues, it creates a platform for face-to-face exchanges between China-Africa youth, continuously enhancing the fame of Beijing's external cultural exchange.

It is reported that the 7th China-Africa Media Cooperation Forum coincides with the 70th anniversary of China-Africa diplomatic relations and has been included in the list of fine activities for the 2026 "China-Africa Human Civilization Exchange Year." The forum's main activities include: Opening ceremony and main forum; two parallel sub-forums titled "Content Innovation Empowers Humanitarian Cooperation" and "Technology Cooperation Empowers Industrial Win-Win," complemented by China-Africa audio-visual program exchange and "China-Africa Human Civilization Integration Night."
